The MQ-25 program won Aviation Week’s Program Excellence Award in the “Prime System Design & Development” category. Boeing is designing and building the U.S. Navy’s first operational, carrier-based unmanned aircraft, the MQ-25 aerial refueler, using digital engineering and advanced manufacturing techniques throughout the entire aircraft. At the same time, the team has been using the MQ-25 T1 test asset to accomplish aerial refueling and carrier integration milestones much earlier than traditional programs.

Thirty-five programs were nominated for the Program Excellence Awards across six different categories. Approximately 200 industry peer evaluators review and score each nomination to determine the winners.
