Syd Blocher is vice president of Program Management for Boeing Global Services (BGS). Blocher leads an organization focused on defining, developing and implementing fit-for-purpose program management; business operations; and project management processes, tools and training for all facets of BGS. Additionally, he is responsible for the creation and deployment of the Global Services–tailored Agile Enterprise as well as the oversight and creation of functional BGS product management capabilities.

Blocher previously served as vice president of Business Aviation, General Aviation & OEM Services for BGS, where he had functional responsibility for sales and marketing, business development, channel management, e-commerce and program execution to establish Boeing as a market leader in this sector.

Blocher also served as senior director of Market Development for BGS Strategy. In this role, he was responsible for the development of strategic alternatives and options to enable market-based global growth objectives, which included investing in both organic and inorganic alternatives, optimizing return on investment and ensuring speed to market. Previously, he was vice president of Global Sales & Marketing for Australia and Southeast Asia for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS).

Blocher also held several leadership roles in strategy and business development for BDS activities.

Blocher serves on the board of Big Thought, a Dallas-based non-profit empowering youth to discover their own greatness, as well as the board of the Collin County Business Alliance. He previously served as chair of the Defence committee for the American Chamber of Commerice in Australia.

Blocher has a Bachelor of Science in physics and a Master of Science in electrical engineering, both from the University of New Mexico.
