Sarah Koopmann is the chief human resources officer for Boeing Global Services. Koopmann is responsible for the execution of human resources initiatives that drive business outcomes for Boeing’s aftermarket services business supporting commercial, government and aviation industry customers worldwide. She also leads Employee Listening and Analytics, which provides advanced analytics and research to support critical business decisions across the enterprise. Koopmann also serves as the Talent Acquisition Champion focused on delivering enterprise solutions to influence global hiring.
Koopmann previously served as vice president of Human Resources for four enterprise functions: Enterprise Services, Finance, Sustainability and Human Resources. She has held multiple HR roles in Global Services, where she was responsible for four major subsidiary integrations and partnering with Corporate Development to streamline the new acquisition and joint venture process from due diligence to full integration.
Before supporting Global Services, Koopmann was the HR director for Talent Management and Organization Effectiveness for the Engineering, Operations & Technology team led by Boeing’s chief technology officer. She also supported Boeing Defense, Space & Security and Labor Relations. She has experience improving the health and diversity of the talent pipeline through succession, leadership development and acceleration of high potentials. Koopmann has also led the coordination and preparation for the talent discussions with Boeing’s chief executive officer and his Executive Council, and she led the team who developed the strategy, tactics and change management for transforming the way Boeing manages performance.
Koopmann has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Dayton and a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.
