Dan Gillian is vice president and general manager of Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers for Boeing Defense, Space & Security. In this role, he oversees all executive transport programs, KC-46, P-8, E-7, Bombers, AWACS / AEW&C and 777X components. Gillian is also the senior site executive for all BDS locations in the state of Washington.

Most recently, Gillian was vice president and general manager of U.S. Government Services for Boeing Global Services. He was responsible for a broad suite of product support solutions for Boeing and non-Boeing platforms, overseeing all aspects of profit and loss, growth and program execution for U.S. government customers.

Gillian previously was vice president of the F/A-18 and EA-18G programs for Boeing Defense, Space & Security, where he was responsible for the quality, cost and schedule performance of every facet of the F/A-18 family of strike fighters and electronic attack aircraft. He led all activities associated with program development, production and support for the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft systems. His previous aircraft program management experience includes time as the P-8 Poseidon program manager for production programs where he established the production system and acquisition strategy for the franchise.

In additional to program management, Gillian has had several leadership roles in supplier management, including as the director of International Supplier Management for Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Earlier in his career, Gillian served as the director of Enterprise Sourcing for Boeing in India. During that assignment, he was responsible for developing suppliers in India to support BDS and BCA as well as managing the day-to-day execution of the company’s work at various Indian suppliers. Gillian began his Boeing career as a manufacturing and systems engineer, followed by positions of increasing responsibility within F/A-18 avionics.

Gillian has a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
