Join the thousands of people who visit Santa Susana each year to watch red-tailed hawks soar and walk by towering rocket engine test stands that took human beings into the vast frontier of outer space. The site is a rare combination of natural beauty and historic significance for both Space Age endeavors and Native American culture.

Bus Tours
Board an air conditioned bus for a three hour tour while learning more about how the site played a key role in the development and testing of rocket engines for the U.S. space program. The tour also features a discussion of the site’s biological and cultural resources and proposed remediation technologies. Unless otherwise stated, attendees must be 12 and over and be able to get on and off a bus with minimal assistance. For security reasons, all adults must have a valid ID and sign a waiver. Confirmation email from Boeing is required to attend. In the event of heavy winds or rain, tours will be cancelled.

Nature Walk
Explore this vital habitat corridor while learning more about the site's coastal oak woodlands, protected plant species and thriving wildlife. View the areas in the Southern Buffer Zone used by citizen scientists and biologists for onsite wildlife studies, including the National Park Service, Simi Hills Wildlife Observatory, Southwestern Herpetologists Society, Herp Connection and Sky Valley Volunteers.
